The research is focused along the following directions:

  • Ultrafast terahertz spectroscopy (Ménard)
  • Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Spectroscopy of 2D Materials (Luican-Mayer)
  • Optical properties of 2D materials, defects and single photon emission, valley to photon conversion (Gupta, Ménard)
  • Quantum Transport in 2D Materials (Gaudreau,Studenikin, Sachrajda, Luican-Mayer)
  • Theory of the electronic, optical and magnetic properties of 2D materials and their quantum nanostructures (Hawrylak, Korkusinski)
